I was sitting in my bed room waiting for the bed bug to bite me while reading an article which made me think about my recent travel. Good thing whenever I fly I have use a medium to large size leather backpack for my carry-on. It allows me to have both hands free for handling luggage, tickets, boarding pass, etc. And after I check my luggage I can carry it by the handle.

Deciding on the right bag for your travels is so important so make sure you consider how long you are going for and just how much stuff you will take with you.

During air travel, carry-on luggage is one important part of your travel, don’t you think so? Even if you have check-in bags, carry-on bags are something that is always with you and you have to be comfortable while carrying those around. So here are some tips while you pack your carry-on bags. If you ever want to travel only with carry-on luggage, these tips would be of much help for you.

More so, going light on your baggage greatly reduces the need to check luggage or entrust fellow travelers. There is much less risk of losing the baggage due to theft, damage, or misrouting and you don’t have to pay porters and the like to carry stuff around for you.

I travel as much as I can and as far as I can., and over the years I’ve returned to places where a traveler used to be able to wander down a street and be swarmed by children begging for sweets or change, be gravitated by pickpockets. In my years of traveling, a little common sense about safety traveling goes along way for me, and so when I shop, I split my spending money up and put it in several different packets. I always put some in a pocket that is inside a jacket or next to my skin. This way, if I am pick-pocketed, I will always have money.

As an added measure when using travel safely methods, carry credit cards from different accounts; should one be lost or stolen there is a second to fall back on. Some people just make it easy for snatch thieves who specialize in grabbing bags and cameras from unsuspecting tourists who have them hanging from their shoulder; to prevent this make sure the strap is over the head as well. Some of the easiest crimes involve snatch thieves that may actually work in teams; they locate unsuspecting victims who have a bag on their shoulder for instance that can be easily grabbed by a passing cycle or scooter. Everyone has heard the stories of different confidence tricks that have happened to vacationers because they are relaxed and let their guard down but the truth is these people do this sort of thing for a living.

This complacency can cause problems because these people make their living doing this sort of thing but just a little extra vigilance can make it much harder for them to take what does not belong to them. One way to stop some of the pick pocketing is to place a padlock on your backpack as any delay means they will usually try someone else.

Remember, how we choose to travel and the decisions we make while doing so do make a difference!
