Flight cancellation due to bad weather
When you travel, no matter where you go, there is almost one thing that always happens .You have to wait. You can be stuck in an airport waiting for them to call your flight, you can be on that 9 hour flight that doesn’t feel like it will ever end and with all this bad weather news about at the moment, it’s a worrying time for air travelers.
Airline passengers trying to get to some U.S. destinations were left stranded Wednesday as a winter storm caused flight cancellations at Canadian airports.
There were also numerous cancelled flights in and out of Montreal’s Trudeau airport.
Washington, D.C., received about 25 centimetres of snow in the latest winter blast to hit the region. Over the weekend, about a metre of snow fell on the area.
New York City, which escaped the last weekend’s snowfall, was expected to get up to 40 centimetres of snow Wednesday.
No matter how you travel though, there will always be time that you don’t have anything to do. So, if you are trying to get away during the snow, good luck, and remember that ultimately it is your airline that is responsible for your flight, so they are the one to turn to for accurate information on the status of your flight.
